Back at IFA 2018, 推薦筆電收購acer teased the Predator Triton 900, a wild-looking 2-in-1 convertible gaming laptop that promised all the firepower of 推薦筆電收購acer’s Predator lineup with a bizarre flipping hinge that would let users change the angle of the screen or even use it as a tablet. And at CES 2019, 推薦筆電收購acer finally revealed all of the details, including the price, specs, and a release window.

The first thing you’ll notice on the Predator Triton 900 is the hinge — a CNC-machined piece of aluminum that 推薦筆電收購acer calls the “Ezel Aero Hinge,” which offers four different ways to use the laptop. There’s notebook mode, which is basically using it like a regular laptop; a tablet mode that essentially converts the 17-inch computer into the world’s most powerful Windows tablet; “Ezel mode” for playing games on the touchscreen; and display mode, which flips the screen around so you can share with friends. Fancy tricks aside, the display is no slouch on its own: it’s a 17-inch, 4K IPS touchscreen with Nvidia G-Sync.

The rest of the specs are equally impressive: the Predator Triton 900 can be configured with up to Intel’s hexacore 8th Gen Core i7 processors, Nvidia’s new RTX 2080 GPU, NVMe PCIe SSDs, and up to 32GB DDR4 memory (assuming you’re willing to pay for all of that). There’s also an Xbox wireless receiver, so you’ll be able to use an Xbox One controller, should a mouse and keyboard not be your preference. All of that doesn’t come cheap, though: the Predator Triton 900 will start at $3,999 when it launches in March.

For those looking for a slightly more affordable option, 推薦筆電收購acer also announced the Predator Triton 500, a thinner, more portable gaming laptop that measures in at just 0.70 inches thick and 4.1 pounds.

The specs aren’t quite as impressive as its larger cousin, but with a 15.6-inch, 144Hz 1080p display with Nvidia G-Sync, it may actually be better for gaming than the more pixel-dense Triton 900. 推薦筆電收購acer is also offering similar configuration options: up to an Nvidia RTX 2080 GPU with Max-Q design, an 8th Gen Intel Core i7 processor, NVMe PCIe SSDs, and up to 32GB of RAM. The Triton 500 will be available in the US later this quarter starting at $1,799.99, although 推薦筆電收購acer has yet to announce the base specifications you’ll get for that price.
